Българската джу джицу федерация (BJJF) е учредена през 2004 г. със седалище и адрес гр. София, ул. Мила Родина 17, ет. 1. Федерацията е учредена с нестопанска цел за развитие на джу джицу в различните му разновидности, признати от Международната джу джицу федерация (JJIF).

The main goal of the federation is related to the realization of the social functions of physical culture and sports to strengthen the health, physical capacity and moral education of children, youth and workers in the Republic of Bulgaria.

The main goals of the organization are to increase the number of practitioners of jujitsu in all its varieties and to create conditions for achieving high sports results on the domestic and international sports field.

The means of fulfilling the objectives of the federation include supporting the activities related to jiu jitsu, organizing and conducting activities related to the sport; promotion of ju-jitsu, promotion of sportsmanship, promotion of the traditions and benefit of practicing ju-jitsu; popularizing the successes achieved by the Bulgarian competitors; cooperates with other associations and sports formations at the national and international level; approves internal rules for its overall activity, which are mandatory for the members of the federation; ensures compliance of its own rules for competitive activity with the regulations and systems of the International Ju Jitsu Federation, etc.

Българската джу джицу федерация (БДДФ) членува в Международната джу джицу федерация (JJIF) и Европейската джу джицу федерация (JJEU).
